Arizona State University (ASU) Law professor Karen Bradshaw and Sue Chesler are teaching a 2-credit "Biodiversity and the Law" traveling class at 'Iole Hawaii in North Kohala, Hawai'i, from March 11–14, 2026. The intensive, place-based course focuses on connecting legal doctrine to nature, featuring nature journaling, field studies, and a guest lecture by John Muir Laws.
